Four nights, four great meals

La Verne,California.  T.Phillips Alehouse and Grill.  Thank you, Anthony, for a great evening with friends.  The atmosphere at T.Phillips is everything you would expect of a big open pub.  61 beers from around the world on tap, big wooden tables for large groups, incredible food.  From the garlic shrimp to T’s Tortellini, the Two Timer hamburger that J dug in to, all the food was incredible. 

San Clemente,California.  Los Patios Mexican Cochina.  Carlos and company brought us the freshest seafood we’ve found anywhere in a long time.  We had flautas, enchiladas and rellanos stuffed with real crab, shrimp, octopus and cheese.  Amazing.  Everything was simply amazing.

Surprise,Arizona.  Fuzzy’s Bar and Grill.  Eric and staff were hustling to take care of everyone in there.  A busy little sports bar with tv’s on every surface and every possible game on, happy hour was busy.  They are particularly proud of the baseball pre-season when the Royals and the Rangers frequent the place.  Fuzzy’s is friendly and clean, the food is good too.  The Rueben was delicious, they are known for their all you can eat fish and chips on Friday nights, but come early, they run out most nights.

Moriarty, New Mexico.  Shorty’s Bar Be Cue.  Shorty is on the grill making sure everything comes out just right.  I was looking forward to it all day long, knowing that we would arrive, just in time for dinner.  This wasn’t our first stop at Shorty’s, when we were here last month, we vowed to come back.  The broaster fried chicken, beef brisket, fried okra, rolls, you name it, it was delicious.  Oh, yeah, the cheesy, cheesy mac and cheese was yummy too!
